Admission portals, visa applications and HR departments often want everything in one PDF: CV, degree, transcripts, CNIC and experience letters. Sending five separate files looks messy and may not even be possible on a portal that accepts one upload. This guide shows how to merge PDF files into one, in the right order, with our free PDF Merger.
How to merge
- Open the PDF merger.
- Add all the PDF files you want to combine.
- Drag them into the right order.
- Click merge and download the combined PDF.
The merging happens inside your browser, so personal documents never leave your device.
Adding photos and Word files
If some documents are photos or Word files, convert them first:
- Photos to PDF with the JPG to PDF tool
- Word files to PDF with the Word to PDF tool
Then merge everything together.
Choosing the order
Follow the order the form or instructions give. If none is given, a logical order is:
- Application form or cover letter
- CV
- Highest degree and transcript
- Earlier education documents
- CNIC
- Experience letters and certificates
Keeping the file small
Merged files can become large, especially with scanned pages. If the result is over the portal’s limit:
- Compress the images before converting them to PDF with the Image Compressor.
- Remove pages that are not required using the PDF Splitter.
- Scan at a moderate resolution; 150 to 200 DPI is enough for most documents.
Naming the file
Use a clear name such as “Usman-Ali-Application-Documents.pdf”. Some portals reject names with special characters, so stick to letters, numbers and hyphens.
Checking the result
Open the merged PDF and scroll through every page. Check that nothing is upside down, missing or out of order. Rotated scans are a common problem; fix them before merging.
