What every invoice should include
- The word “Invoice” at the top
- Invoice number: unique and in sequence, such as INV-2026-041
- Invoice date and due date
- Your details: business name, address, phone, email, NTN/STRN if registered
- Client details: name, company and address
- Line items: description, quantity, rate and amount
- Subtotal, discount, tax and total
- Payment details: bank name, account title, IBAN, or wallet number
- Payment terms: such as “Due within 7 days”

Numbering rules
Use one sequence and never reuse numbers. Many businesses include the year: INV-2026-001, INV-2026-002. If you cancel an invoice, mark it cancelled rather than deleting the number.
Payment terms that work
- “Due on receipt” for small jobs
- “Net 7” or “Net 15” for regular clients
- Partial advance (for example 50%) for large projects
