What is the Attendance Calculator?

Universities and colleges in Pakistan usually require 75% or 80% attendance to sit the final exam. The attendance calculator shows your current percentage and turns it into a simple answer: how many more classes you can miss, or how many you must attend to recover.

Enter classes held, classes attended and the required percentage. Pair it with the Grade Calculator to keep both attendance and marks on track.

How to use the Attendance Calculator

  1. Enter the number of classes held so far.
  2. Enter the number of classes attended.
  3. Set the required attendance (usually 75%).
  4. Read your percentage and the classes you can miss or need to attend.

Formula

Attendance % = attended ÷ held × 100 · Classes needed = ceil((r × held − 100 × attended) ÷ (100 − r))

Example

With 33 of 48 classes attended (68.75%) and a 75% rule, you need to attend the next 12 classes in a row. With 40 of 48 (83.3%) you could miss 5 more classes.

Why attendance matters

Falling below the minimum can mean being barred from exams, repeating a course or losing a scholarship. Medical leave rules differ by institution, so keep documents for any absence and check your student handbook.
