What is the GPA Calculator?
Your Grade Point Average (GPA) is the credit-weighted average of the grade points you earn in a semester. A 3-credit course counts three times as much as a 1-credit lab, so a simple average of grades is wrong.

How to use the GPA Calculator

Formula
GPA = Σ (grade points × credit hours) ÷ Σ credit hours
Example
Courses of 3, 3, 3 and 2 credits with grades A (4.0), B+ (3.33), A− (3.67) and B (3.0) give quality points of 12 + 10 + 11 + 6 = 39 over 11 credits, a GPA of 3.55.
