How to Convert PDF to JPG Images (Every Page or One Page)

PDF to JPG – free online tool guide

Sometimes a PDF is the wrong format. You want to share one page on WhatsApp, post a poster on Instagram, insert a page into a presentation, or upload a document to a portal that only accepts images. Converting PDF to JPG turns each page into an image. This guide explains how, and how to get sharp results with our free PDF to JPG tool.

How to convert

  1. Open the PDF to JPG tool.
  2. Choose your PDF.
  3. Select the quality or resolution.
  4. Convert and download each page as a JPG, or all pages together.

The conversion runs in your browser, so the file stays on your device.

Choosing quality

Use Suggested quality
WhatsApp or social media Medium (around 150 DPI)
Online forms with size limits Medium, then compress
Printing or zooming in High (300 DPI)

Higher quality means sharper text but bigger files.

One page only

If you need only page 3, convert all pages and keep the one you need, or first take out that page with the PDF Splitter and convert just that.

JPG vs PNG

JPG is smaller and good for photos and scanned pages. PNG keeps text and line art crisper and supports transparency. If your page is mostly text and diagrams, converting the JPG to PNG with the Image Converter can help, though files get larger.

Common uses

  • Sharing a single page of a notice, timetable or result
  • Turning a designed PDF flyer into a social media image
  • Adding a PDF page to PowerPoint or Canva
  • Uploading to forms that accept only images

Too big after converting?

High-quality page images can be several MB. Use the Image Compressor to bring them under a portal’s limit while keeping text readable.

Getting images back into PDF

If you edited the images and want a PDF again, use the JPG to PDF tool. Read sharing PDF pages on WhatsApp for more practical tips.

What DPI means

DPI (dots per inch) sets how many pixels each inch of the page becomes. An A4 page is about 8.27 × 11.69 inches, so at 150 DPI it becomes roughly 1240 × 1754 pixels, and at 300 DPI about 2480 × 3508 pixels. Double the DPI means four times as many pixels and a much bigger file, so choose only as much as you need.
